What is Yoga?

Yoga is spiritual practice that pursue knowledge with question such as “who I am , what am i among others ”

“Inhale your future,exhale your past”

Yoga means to join or to unite the mind and the soul with the universal soul . It connect us from positivity and stay aways from negativity of life.

It also means the unification of physical , intellectual ,mental and spiritual aspects of is the medium of having stable and peaceful mind is key to understand the PARAMATMA.

Currently through out the whole world yoga is practices as asan, pranayam ,dhyana but the factor is that these words are often observed independently.

Basically , The word yoga has been drived from Sanskrit word yuj which means to unite ,add or bind.

In Bhagvad Gita is described as skilful completion of task. In other word , yoga is the union of the body ,mind and soul. Practising yoga enables us to work efficiently and lead a disciplined life. The practice of yoga envolved in the Indian peninsular region over 5000 years ago.

The birth place of yoga known as”Rishikesh”. Lord Shiva is considered the Adi yogi and founder of yoga. He is the foremost among the yogis and teacher of the science of yoga.

Adopting the practice of yoga in our daily life life improves the overall fitness of an individual, enhances physical and mental strength, increases flexibility,corrects posture,relieves stress and establishes inner peace .

However,nowadays it has been adopted by the western culture too. People of all age groups ,be it children,adults or seniors citizens ,should regularly practice yoga asanas .

To recognise the importance of yoga every year 21 June is celebrated as the “International Yoga Day”
